COMMERCIAL ITEM DESCRIPTION
TOWEL, PAPER (DENTAL)
The General Services Administration has authorized the use of
this commercial item description, for all Federal Agencies.
1. SCOPE. This Commercial Item Description covers paper towels for medical and dental use.
2. SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS.
2.1 Style and Dimensions. Towels shall be three-ply construction with all plies fused together by embossing over the entire surface of the towel. The towels shall be furnished quarter-folded or eight-folded, at the supplier’s option. When unfolded, the towel shall comply with the following dimensions:
Length – 43.2 cm (17 inch) min. to 50.8 cm (20 inch) max.
Width – 30.5 cm (12 inch) min. to 43.2 cm (17 inch) max.
2.2 Workmanship. The towel shall be clean and free of holes, tears, cut, dirt or any other defects which would adversely affect appearance or serviceability. Towels shall be uniform in size and color and trimmed squarely and have clean, smooth edges without raggedness.
