COMMERCIAL ITEM DESCRIPTION
Towel, Paper
The General Services Administration has authorized the use of this commercial item description by all federal agencies.
1. SCOPE. This commercial item description covers general folded sheet paper towels.
2. CLASSIFICATION.
Type I. Single fold towel
Type II. Multifold towel
Size 1
Size 2
Type III. C-fold towel
3. SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS.
3.1 Material. Paper towels furnished under this description shall be made from paper conforming to the characteristics of Table I. The product shall contain a minimum of 40% Post consumer recovered material as defined by the Paper Products Recovered Materials Advisory Notice II (Paper RMAN II), unless other-wise specified in the contract or ordering document.
3.2 Dimensions. Paper towels of the type and size specified shall conform to the dimensions of Table II.
3.3 Construction. Type I and type II paper towels shall be interlocked to facilitate easy dispensing Types, I and III paper towels shall dispense satisfactorily from dispensing cabinets designed in accordance with Commercial Item Description A-A-2380, or as specified in the invitation to bid. (To be deemed satisfactory, towels shall dispense one at a time.)
